Mendet refers to welcoming dance to gods for the Hindus in Bali. As usually performed at religious ceremony or festivals, this rite usually involves male and female Balinese who would like to serve the gods during the ceremony.

Happy New Year

well, it won't necessarily be fun all year but at least the wish from 'Happy New Year' is happy, rite? I spent my new year's eve at work. the more crowded it was, the better, i thought. still i cried at 1, rite after countdown for no reasons. when i woke up on the first, all i can remember is the previous nite song:

Billie Jean is not my lover
She's just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son
She says I am the one, but the kid is not my son

so much is true, i cannot call anyone my lover
*now i realize why i cried*
